Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, Bernard Doro, says Ondo State in South-West Nigeria has received about N9.9 billion under the Federal Government’s Household Prosperity and Empowerment Cash Transfer Programme.
The Minister made this known during a stakeholders’ engagement with beneficiaries in Ibule, Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Doro explained that the intervention, implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu, has so far reached over nine million households across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

According to him, the programme provides ₦75,000 in three tranches to the poorest and most vulnerable households nationwide.
He added that Ondo State alone has received about N9.9 billion, benefiting hundreds of thousands of households.

Earlier, the Minister and his entourage paid a courtesy visit to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who commended the field-based assessment approach, noting that direct engagement with beneficiaries would enhance transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery in government interventions.
