Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has called for unity and healthy competition among the people of Kogi State, urging them to channel their energy into development rather than rivalry.
The Senator made the call in Idah, Kogi East Senatorial District, while receiving defectors from other political parties into the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Addressing the crowd, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan advised constituents to avoid divisive politics and social media hostilities. Instead, she urged the three senatorial districts Kogi East, Central, and West to engage in healthy competition focused on development.
She said;
“Rather than fighting each other or engaging in social media banter, let Kogi Central ask: how many industries do we have? Kogi East, how many companies? Kogi West, what have we built? That is the competition that will grow Kogi State and Nigeria at large.”
Among dignitaries at the event was Idris Hussein, popularly known as Idris HK, an aspirant for the Kogi East Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections and leaders of the PDP.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan maintained that such development-driven rivalry would foster growth across the state.
