The Nigerian Air Force, NAF, through the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai, has neutralised hostile elements and destroyed their infrastructure with precision, while ensuring the protection of civilians and the environment in the Madara Mountains.
In a statement signed by the Director of Public Relations and Information at the Headquarters of the Nigerian Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the sustained counter-terrorism effort was described as a decisive air interdiction strike carried out at Guduf in the Mandara Mountains, a known terrorist enclave.
The statement adds that acting on credible intelligence, supported by prior confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance, ISR, NAF air assets executed a coordinated operation.
The mission identified multiple terrorist structures and logistics hubs actively supporting insurgent activities in the area.
It further states that, employing precision targeting and strict adherence to rules of engagement, the air strikes led to the destruction of key terrorist facilities and logistics hubs that have significantly degraded the operational capability of the insurgents.
NAF reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining pressure on terrorist elements, denying them freedom of action, and safeguarding national security.
