The Police in Oghara Division, Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested a member of the kidnap gang that abducted a clergyman last Sunday from Edo State.
The thirty-six-year-old suspect, Osagie Felix who failed to flee with other gang members on sighting the Police, was apprehended while attempting to ride off in their victim’s car.
Delta Police Command Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe in a statement says upon arrival of the Police led by the suspect to the gang’s hotel hideout in Oghareki; the other kidnappers escaped with the aid of the hotel owner.

Exhibits recovered from the rooms in the course of preliminary investigation were; two Cut-to-Size double barrel Pistols, Sixteen live cartridges, the abducted clergyman’s car, a Laptop computer, and a cash sum of Four Hundred and ten thousand naira which was part of the Five hundred thousand naira ransom, paid by the victim of the kidnappers.
The statement further confirmed that officers from the Command have intensified the manhunt to apprehend the other suspects who are currently at large.
