Police have debunked reports of an alleged arson attack on the family home of a factional leader of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Nafiu Bala, describing the claims as false.
In a statement signed by the Gombe State Command’s Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Buhari Abdullahi, the police clarified that no such incident occurred.
The statement urged residents to disregard the information and remain calm.
Sources close to the family also confirmed that there was no attack, adding that the family home is safe and secure.
