A nurse at Kagara General Hospital, Bala Alawa, has been killed by terrorists operating in the forest areas of Kagara.
The Niger state government confirmed the development in a condolence message issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Bologi Ibrahim.
While expressing deep sorrow, the Niger state government described the killing of Alawa as tragic and senseless.
According to the message, the unfortunate incident is coming at a time when the deceased and other workers are to be celebrated for their sacrifices and contributions to serving humanity.

The state government further added that the killing of Alawa is a painful reminder of the risks many frontline personnel face in the line of duty.
He maintains that the loss of Alawa is a great loss not only to his immediate family but also to the entire state, considering his selflessness and dedication to providing healthcare services to the people.
The government reaffirms its commitment to improving the security of lives and livelihoods across the state and ensuring that criminals are brought to justice.
