The Ogun State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested five suspected kidnappers in the Rander forest area of Abeokuta North Local Government.
The suspects, believed to be Fulani herdsmen, were apprehended following actionable intelligence and sustained surveillance operations within the forest.
According to information made available by the corps, two of the suspects were initially arrested on April 29th at about 8 p.m., with the support of local hunters familiar with the terrain.
The remaining three suspects were captured approximately thirteen hours later in a follow-up operation.
Amotekun intelligence sources revealed that the operation was prompted by repeated complaints from residents of nearby communities over the presence of suspected intruders within the forest.
