The Nigeria Police in Kwara State has confirmed a deadly attack on a Police Mobile Force (PMF) camp at Tenebo Village in Kaiama Local Government Area.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of May 2, 2026, claimed the lives of three officers and left several others critically injured.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, described the attack as heinous, cowardly and barbaric.

The Command said the officers paid the ultimate price while defending the safety of the community.

It extended condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured personnel a speedy recovery.

The Commissioner of Police assured residents that all operational and intelligence resources are being deployed to track down the perpetrators, stressing that those responsible will be brought to justice.
