The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has held its state congress, with new party executives emerging through a consensus process.
The congress, conducted after a week-long schedule of activities, saw party members affirm and inaugurate the new leadership.

The congress committee, led by Hadiza Balarabe, adopted a consensus arrangement for the emergence of executives.
At the event, Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji emerged as state chairman and was sworn in alongside other officials.

The congress comes weeks after Dauda Lawal defected to the APC, a move seen as significant in reshaping the party’s structure in the state.

Speaking on behalf of the new executives, the chairman pledged to unite aggrieved factions and strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Stakeholders expressed optimism about the APC’s future in Zamfara, noting that the new leadership reflects a balance of interests across factions.
