The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State has announced Dr. Jamilu Ishiyaku Gwamna as its consensus governorship candidate for the 2027 election.
Dr Jamilu beat ten other candidates including former ministers of communication and transport Isa Ali Pantami and Alh Saidu Alkali respectively.
The decision was reached at an enlarged stakeholders’ meeting presided over by the party leader and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya.
The meeting also ratified consensus candidates for the state’s three senatorial districts, six House of Representatives seats, and 24 State House of Assembly constituencies.
