24 hours after the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, met President Muhammadu Buhari to notify him of his presidential ambition, the Governor of Ebonyi state, Dave umahi has also Informed the President of his decision to succeed him come 2023.
Umahi disclosed this to State House Correspondents on Tuesday after a closed-door meeting with the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Umahi confirmed that he discussed his Presidential ambition with President Buhari, who then asked him to go and seek the support of the people.

The governor said he is undeterred by Tinubu’s presence, saying that the contest is not about might.
Umahi defected from Peoples Democratic Party to the APC in November 2020.
