The managing director of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku says the commission is committed to ensuring a safe working environment.
The managing director of the NDDC, stated this during the handover of a fire fighting truck, to the department of health, safety and environment at the commission’s headquarters in Port Harcourt.
The Managing Director of the NDDC, Samuel Ogbuku who was represented by the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Kelechi Nwelue said the provision of the fire fighting truck was to enable the commission respond to fire outbreaks both within and its surrounding environment.
The Director, Health, Safety and Environment, Chinyere Umeh commended the Managing Director NDDC Samuel Ogbuku for his foresight.
She said training is ongoing for those that would operate the fire service truck.
