The Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, has distributed one hundred and fifty mini buses and two hundred tricycles to youths of cross river state.
The Managing Director of the NDDC Samuel ogbuku who handed the items to beneficiaries in Calabar, said the gesture was to improve economic status of young people within the region.
The distribution of 150 mini buses and 200 tricycles is in support of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Ogbuku says the Empowerment is about creating opportunities, restoring hope and enabling the beneficiaries to build better futures for themselves and their families.
Some of the beneficiaries who commended the NDDC for the empowerment, say they would put the items into good use.
The NDDC also trained about 500 youths on various skills.
