Federal High Court Abuja has sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman to 75 years imprisonment following his conviction for N22 billion fraud for failed power projects.
Justice James Omotosho sentenced the convict on the 12-count and ordered that the sentences would run consecutively. Adding together, the sentences amount to 75 years.
Saleh Mamman was sentenced in absentia.
Justice Omotosho ordered that the sentence will start to run from the day, the convict is arrested.
He further ordered that all security agencies should arrest the convict wherever he is seen.
Justice Omotosho further added that all monies recovered from him as well as l properties, should be forfeited to the federal government and the convict is ordered to pay the difference left in the N22 billion meant for the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power project.
