The All Progressives Congress, APC, has disqualified 86 State House of Assembly aspirants out of the 114 candidates who purchased expression of interest and nomination forms to participate in the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
With this development, only 28 aspirants will contest the primaries for the 24 seats in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
The development was contained in a list of successful and unsuccessful aspirants released by the party’s screening committee and obtained by AIT.live.
Findings revealed that discrepancies in school certificates, alterations in dates of birth, and issues related to the National Identification Number, NIN, were among the major reasons for the disqualification of the affected aspirants.
