Mounting external debts and worsening insecurity crisis across some parts of the country dominated the discussion at a media briefing to Mark the 2026 World Communications Day by the Catholic Archbishop of Lagos Most Reverend Adewale Martins .
The Archbishop who also delivered the Pope’s message on the theme of the 2026 world communications day ” Preserving the Voices and Faces Of Humanity urged Government , Religious leaders and Tech companies to work together so that Artificial intelligence for the Propagation of Fake News will not destroy societies.
Established by the Catholic Church, World Communications Day is observed annually on the Sunday before Pentecost,17th of May.
