Thirteen persons were killed in their farms at Nakudna community during an attack by bandits in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
The Police in a statement has, however, debunked a publication by a national daily which reported that thirty-seven persons were killed in Nakudna and Wurukuchi communities in Shiroro Local Government as unfounded, baseless and untrue
The statement stressed that Tactical Teams led by the Area Commander Shiroro Local Government were drafted to the scene to maintain law and order

The statement explained that the Commissioner of Police Niger State Command,Monday Kuryas has assured people of Niger State that the Police and other Security Agencies will not relent in efforts to curtail the activities of bandits in the State.
Kuryas condoled the families of the victims over the loss of lives in the unfortunate incident.
