Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Waidi Shaibu, says the joint operation between the Nigerian Army and the United States of America, which led to the killing of the world’s second-ranked terrorist leader, Al-Bilal Al-Muniki, is a major milestone in the fight against insurgency.
The Army Chief stated this during the First Biannual Army Conference in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
He said the Nigerian Army will continue to prioritise collaboration with relevant authorities and international partners to tackle insecurity across the country.
