‎ PDP affirms 11 consensus Reps candidates in Benue State

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has officially affirmed 11 consensus candidates as its standard bearers for House of Representatives seats from Benue State, North-Central Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general election.
‎
In a statement, PDP State Publicity Secretary, Yima Antyo ‎revealed that the affirmation exercise, took place across various constituencies in the state and was done in a peaceful, transparent and well-coordinated manner.

He said it was attended by party stakeholders, INEC electoral officials, security personnel, and party supporters.
‎
‎ Speaking after the exercise, the PDP State Chairman Ezekiel Adaji, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the affirmation process, describing it as orderly, democratic, and a reflection of the unity currently existing within the party.
‎
‎Adaji commended party members and stakeholders for their maturity, cooperation, and commitment towards ensuring a successful exercise.

He noted that the emergence of the consensus candidates demonstrates the collective resolve of the party to remain united and focused ahead of the 2027 general elections.
‎
‎Those affirmed across the various federal constituencies include:
‎

  1. Tortiv-Ato Peter -Terwase – Vandeikya/Konshisha
  2. Mkeenem Moses
    ‎- Kwande/Ushongo
    ‎
  3. Damsa Terris – Logo/Ukum/Katsina-Ala
  4. Shior Emmanuel
    ‎- Makurdi/Guma
  5. Ukaa Emmanuel
    ‎- Gwer-East/Gwer West
    ‎
    ‎6. Ikyaagba Dominic
    ‎- Buruku
    ‎
    ‎7. Ede Ode
    ‎- Obi/Oju
    ‎
    ‎8. Emmanuel Sunday Ude
    ‎- Otukpo/Ohimini
    ‎
    ‎9. Adama Otalaka
    ‎- Apa/Agatu
    ‎
    ‎10. Aida Nath Ogwuche
    ‎- Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo
    ‎
    ‎11. Nathaniel Ikyur – Gboko/Tarka
    ‎
    ‎According to the chairman, PDP remains committed to internal democracy, fairness and inclusiveness in all its activities.

He assured members that the party would continue to provide a level playing ground for all members.
‎
‎Adaji further congratulated the affirmed candidates and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by remaining committed to the ideas and vision of the party.
‎
‎He also called on party faithful across the state to close ranks and work together for the overall success of the party in the forthcoming general elections.
‎
