The Patriots, comprising eminent personalities in the Nigeria under the chairmanship of former Commonwealth Secretary General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, has among several other issues called on President Bola Tinubu to address the rising insecurity concerns in the country.
The Group notably identified the recent kidnapping of Students in Oyo State and the killing of one of the captured teachers which incident has now gone viral.
The former Secretary General of the Commonwealth while addressing journalists in Lagos in Thursday also described as worrisome the high cost of obtaining forms from the various political parties to contest for party primary elections, which he explained may undermine the chances of credible aspirants vying for elective offices across board.
