President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has recorded a landslide victory at the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential primary election held in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. Announcing the results of the primary election,
Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Philip Aduda, said President Bola Tinubu polled over 14,000 votes to defeat his contender, Stanley Osifo, who scored zero votes.
The presidential primary election took place across the 62 political wards in the six Area Councils of the Federal Capital Territory.
With the large turnout of party members for the primary election, the Chairman of the Committee, Philip Aduda, said residents of the Federal Capital Territory are ready to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
The election commenced in the Abuja Municipal Area Council, which was divided into three zones and coordinated by the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council, Christopher Maikalangu, alongside the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zephaniah Jisalo.
The results from the Federal Capital Territory were later taken to the National Collation Centre at the International Conference Hall in Abuja.
