Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to returning internally displaced persons to their ancestral homes, assuring residents of improved security across the state.
The Governor made this known during his Eid-el-Kabir broadcast delivered in the early hours of Wednesday, where he emphasized that Zamfara has continued to witness significant improvement in security.
Shortly after the broadcast, Governor Lawal and members of his entourage proceeded to the Gusau Eid Prayer Ground to observe the two raka’at Eid-el-Kabir prayers, led by the Chief Imam, Dan Alhaji.
Speaking after the prayers, the Governor called on politicians to be mindful of their utterances as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged political actors to avoid inflammatory statements capable of threatening the peace and stability of the state.
