As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir across the country, the wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has called on parents and guardians to closely monitor their wards while promoting compassion and support for vulnerable persons during the festive period.
In her Children’s Day message, the First Lady described young people as the foundation of the nation’s future and urged families and communities to pay greater attention to their safety, welfare, and moral upbringing.
Huriyya Dauda Lawal, in a statement issued through her Press Secretary, Rabi Yusuf, encouraged residents to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to strengthen relationships, promote peaceful coexistence, and foster unity within their communities.
She also appealed to wealthy individuals and groups to remember the less privileged during the Sallah celebrations, noting that Eid-el-Kabir represents sacrifice, compassion, obedience, and love for humanity.

The First Lady further urged citizens to offer prayers for lasting peace, security, and stability in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
As part of activities marking the celebration, Huriyya Dauda Lawal distributed Sallah welfare packages, including cows, rams, food items, and cash support to Islamic groups and vulnerable residents across the state.
