Akwa Ibom State has achieved 94 percent electricity coverage in its two thousand two hundred and seventy-four villages.
The State Commissioner for Power and Petroleum Development, Dr John Etim said this in a chat with newsmen in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital.
The major plank of Governor Udom Emmanuel administration has been industrialisation and that cannot be achieved without power and according to the State Commissioner for Power and Petroleum Development, Dr. John Etim the governor has done exceptionally well in that regard.
Etim pointed out the latest efforts are geared towards more power in the state.
He charged residents of the state to be alive to their responsibilities to enable the government achieve its goal of Power For All.
The Commissioner maintained that the governor desires for power to be not only accessible but dependable and constant.
