The Young Progressives Party, YPP, has successfully conducted its governorship primary election in Adamawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Honourable Wafarninyi Theman emerging as the party’s governorship candidate.
The primary election was reported to have been peaceful and orderly.
Members and stakeholders of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, gathered under the supervision of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for the conduct of the party’s governorship primary election in Adamawa State.
A national leader of the party, Barrister Vidiyeno Bamaiyi, who supervised the process, commended party members, stakeholders and delegates for their orderly conduct, expressing confidence that the YPP would take over the state in 2027.

Meanwhile, the newly emerged governorship candidate, Honourable Wafarninyi Theman, appreciated delegates and party faithful for the confidence reposed in him.
He said his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate reflects the unity and shared vision within the YPP.
The Young Progressives Party says it remains committed to positioning itself as a credible alternative political platform ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Adamawa State.
