The Federal Government says it will facilitate new investment opportunities in Zamfara State following growing interest from investors in the state’s vast solid mineral resources.
This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole to Governor Dauda Lawal at the Government House in Gusau.
The visit marked the Minister’s first official engagement with Governor Dauda Lawal and focused on three key areas of collaboration between the Federal Government and Zamfara State.
First, the Minister informed the Governor of plans to bring investors who have expressed interest in exploring and developing Zamfara’s abundant solid mineral resources.
She also highlighted preparations for the Intra-African Trade Fair and encouraged the state’s active participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) to unlock new economic opportunities.
Governor Dauda Lawal welcomed the Federal Government’s initiatives, reaffirming his administration’s readiness to partner with investors and leverage Zamfara’s rich mineral deposits for economic growth.
The Governor stressed that despite security challenges in some parts of the state, Zamfara remains a land of enormous economic potentials.
Governor Lawal also challenged the negative perception of Zamfara, saying the state is more than the insecurity often portrayed in the media.
He maintained that Zamfara is open for investment and urged investors to visit the state and witness its vast opportunities firsthand.
