The grassroots advocacy group in Ogun State is appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently intervene over what it describes as worsening infrastructure, healthcare, and economic conditions across the state.
The group says that despite increased federal allocations and other government interventions, many communities have yet to feel the impact.
Speaking on behalf of the group in sango ota over the weekend, the group spokesperson Olawoye Kayode says roads across Ogun State’s twenty local government areas have deteriorated significantly, disrupting economic activities, delaying access to healthcare services, and leaving commuters stranded for hours.
The communities want President Tinubu to approve emergency intervention on critical road networks, strengthen oversight of public funds, improve primary healthcare, support erosion control measures, and expand youth employment opportunities.
He expressed confidence that timely intervention by the Federal Government would restore hope and improve the living conditions of residents.
The group also raised concerns over the condition of primary healthcare centres, alleging that many facilities lack essential drugs, reliable electricity, and adequate medical personnel. It further noted that erosion has displaced families and destroyed livelihoods in several communities, calling for urgent and coordinated government action.
