The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, on Monday honoured an invitation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) as part of the ongoing investigation into the activities of the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

Gbajabiamila’s appearance before the anti-graft agency was confirmed in a statement issued by his counsel, Jiti Ogunye, who said the Chief of Staff reported to the ICPC headquarters at about 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in full cooperation with the investigation as directed by President Bola Tinubu.

According to the statement, Gbajabiamila gave his testimony, responded to questions from investigators and subsequently returned to his official duties at the Presidency.

The lawyer said his client fully cooperated with the commission throughout the interaction, which forms part of the ICPC’s investigation into the activities of the alleged fake agency and related matters.

President Bola Tinubu had, on July 17, 2026, directed the ICPC to investigate the activities of the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), describing it as a fictitious body with no legal backing.

The President gave the anti-graft agency 30 days to conclude its investigation and submit a comprehensive report, while directing all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government to cooperate fully with the probe.
