He also urged them to work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying continued support for the President would help sustain the country’s development agenda.

His declaration is expected to further reshape the political landscape in the state as preparations gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Riven Medical Industries Project in Rumuosi, Port Harcourt, for which Governor Fubara laid the foundation stone, is a Public-Private Partnership between the Rivers State Government and Enbay Pharmaceutical Industries Limited. It is designed to revive and redevelop the former Integrated Medical Industries into a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing complex.

The facility is expected to become a world-class centre for the production of pharmaceutical formulations, gelatin capsules, intravenous infusions, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.

Beyond healthcare, the project is expected to stimulate industrial growth by creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs, encouraging technology transfer, attracting local and foreign investment, and driving economicc diversification in Rivers State.

Governor Fubara described the project as a strategic investment in the future of the state, saying it demonstrates his administration’s commitment to sustainable industrial development, quality healthcare, and partnerships that deliver lasting benefits for the people.

When completed, the Riven Medical Industries Project is expected to position Rivers State as a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing and healthcare investment destination in Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
