The National Economic Council has commended Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for strategic investments in agriculture, climate resilience, and erosion control.
The Council described the projects as practical examples of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in action.
The commendation came during a two-day monitoring visit by the Northeast Implementation Monitoring Committee of the National Economic Council.
The National Economic Council Northeast Implementation Monitoring Committee inspected major development projects across Gombe State.
They include the Federal College of Education Technical Gully Erosion Control Project, the Doma Gully Erosion Control Project, the Kanawa Farm Centre, and the Kunji Irrigation Farmers’ Cluster in Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area.
The committee said the state’s investments in agriculture, environmental restoration, and climate-smart initiatives are improving livelihoods, boosting food production, and supporting the Federal Government’s food security agenda under the Renewed Hope programme.

At the Kunji Irrigation Farmers’ Cluster, beneficiaries expressed appreciation to the state government, saying improved irrigation facilities have increased productivity and strengthened food security.
The NEC delegation concluded that the projects represent a development model worthy of replication across Nigeria.
The committee says its findings will be presented to the National Economic Council to support policy implementation and encourage the adoption of successful development initiatives across the federation.
