Brazil’s newly appointed Consul General to Nigeria, Ronaldo Vieira, has unveiled plans by his country to reduce visa processing time for Nigerians to one or two weeks and expand cooperation into technology, artificial intelligence and the creative economy.

The diplomat was speaking at a reception held in his honour in Lagos State, South-West Nigeria where he was received by the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, Professor Ehosae Oshaghae, Lagos State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Lawal Pedro, and other distinguished guests.

Brazil is strengthening ties with Nigeria through improved consular services. Vieira says both countries will expand cooperation in education, research, cultural exchange, trade, technology and innovation.
