The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to positioning Nigeria as Africa’s leading hub for responsible advertising, creative excellence and digital innovation. It says stronger collaboration, ethical regulation and innovation are key to achieving that vision.

The commitment was reiterated at the fourth Advertising Industry Colloquium, organised by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) in Lagos.

The event brought together regulators, practitioners, and technology stakeholders to examine the future of advertising under the theme, “The Future of Advertising: Role of Platforms, People and Regulation.”

Representing the Minister of Information and National Orientation, DG Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Baba Ndace, said technology, talent, and effective regulation must work together to drive the future of the industry.

The ARCON Director-General, Olalekan Fadolapo, stressed that collaboration, ethical practice, and effective regulation are essential to driving innovation and protecting consumers.

Some participants at the event said the colloquium strengthened collaboration among regulators, industry professionals, and academics to advance Nigeria’s advertising industry.

The Stakeholders also renewed their commitment to responsible innovation, stronger partnerships, and a more competitive, well-regulated advertising industry in Nigeria.
