Jubilation has erupted across Osogbo, the Osun State capital, following the declaration of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke as winner of the 2026 governorship election.
Supporters of the governor have taken to the streets in celebration, turning parts of the capital into scenes of excitement after a keenly watched electoral contest.
For Adeleke’s supporters, the mood is not only about the outcome of the election, but what they describe as the expression of the people’s will at the ballot.
