Disability inclusion takes centre stage in Abuja as stakeholders launch the FCT Disability Inclusion Coalition and Capacity Building Programme, following the completion of the long-awaited drafting of the FCT Disability Policy.
The policy, according to the facilitators is designed to ensure that persons with disabilities in the FCT enjoy their rights and have better access to social amenities and opportunities.
The initiative brings together government, civil society organisations and indigenous communities, with doors open for more partnerships and initiatives that promote inclusion.
