The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, IPCR, has called for greater involvement of young Nigerians in peacebuilding and national development.
Director-General of the Institute, Joseph Ochogwu, who made the call at a peacebuilding workshop in Abuja, said young Nigerians must be empowered with the knowledge and skills needed to identify, prevent and manage conflicts before they escalate into violence.
As Nigeria faces security challenges, social tensions and rising misinformation, the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution, IPCR, is equipping young Nigerians to prevent conflict and promote national unity.
At a training for NYSC members, interns and other participants, IPCR Director-General, Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, said the initiative is designed to build young peacebuilders capable of promoting sustainable peace and national development.
The programme also seeks to empower young Nigerians to use their influence and digital platforms to promote tolerance, counter misinformation and reject violence.
