The political contest for the Zamfara North Senatorial District has taken a fresh turn, following a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau.
The court has nullified the All Progressives Congress, APC, senatorial primary election ruling that no election was held on May 19, as claimed.
Justice Hassan Dikko, who presided over the case, ordered the APC to conduct a fresh primary election within 14 days.

The ruling followed a suit filed by one of the aspirants, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, challenging the emergence of Saabi Ya’au as the winner of the primary.
