Former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki has expressed deep sadness over the passing of prominent Edo politician and former National Vice Chairman, South South, of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Dan Osi Orbih.
In a condolence message, Obaseki described him as an influential voice in Edo politics who made significant contributions to the development of the PDP in the state and Nigeria.
He recalled Dan Orbih’s years of service as Chairman of the PDP in Edo State and later as National Vice Chairman of the party, South South, noting that his long involvement in public affairs earned him a place in the political history of the state.
The former governor said Orbih’s death at the age of sixty-four is a significant loss to Edo State and the nation.
Obaseki commiserated with his wife, children, family members, political associates, friends, and other loved ones, praying that God would grant them the strength to bear the loss.
