The Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, says securing Nigeria’s sovereign territory will require a more integrated defence posture, backed by effective intelligence coordination and joint security operations.
Speaking at a colloquium on Securing Sovereign Frontiers and Strategic Defence Architecture in Abuja, the Minister stressed the need for stronger inter-agency collaboration among the Armed Forces and other security agencies.
General Musa said closer coordination and intelligence sharing remain critical to addressing emerging security threats and strengthening Nigeria’s overall defence architecture.
The Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Communications and Orientation, Sunday Dare, says the present administration has dealt a serious blow to insurgency in Nigeria.
Other speakers at the event called for greater collaboration between the government and the people, stressing that the fight against insurgency must be treated as a collective responsibility.
