The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, says enhancing personnel welfare and infrastructural development is critical to building a highly motivated force capable of confronting the country’s evolving security challenges.
Aneke stated this at the commissioning of the newly completed Airmen’s Quarters at Mogadishu Cantonment, the 065 Medical Officers’ Quarters, and the NAF Valley Base Sports Complex in Asokoro, Abuja.
He said the commissioning of the facilities demonstrates the Nigerian Air Force’s deliberate commitment to improving the living conditions, physical well-being and overall effectiveness of its personnel.
The Air Chief stressed that improving the living and working conditions of personnel would boost their morale and enhance their capacity to effectively discharge their constitutional responsibilities.
The Airmen’s Quarters are designed to provide personnel with a more conducive and secure living environment, while the NAF Valley Base Sports Complex is expected to promote physical fitness, recreation, teamwork and esprit de corps among officers and airmen.
