Nigeria’s anti-narcotics agency says it has raided 16 suspected drug joints in Abuja, the nation’s capital arresting 90 people and seizing illicit drugs valued at more than N700 million.
The FCT Strategic Commander of the agency, Julius Oza, told journalists in Abuja that seizures included narcotics, stimulants, sedatives and other controlled substances.
Oza also said the fate of those arrested will depend on whether they are identified as drug users or suspected traffickers.
The NDLEA further appealed to residents to provide information that could help authorities tackle drug trafficking and abuse in the nation’s capital.
