The Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Organisation, GAFAMORG and the National Coalition Against Mass Killings, Extra-Judicial Killings. Mob Action and Impunity, NCAMKI have called on the federal government to declare September 5 of each year as a National Day of Remembrance in honour of Nigerians who lost their lives due to extreme violence and impunity.
The groups made the during the 17th Gani Fawehinmi Memorial Lecture in Lagos on Saturday, with the theme, “Democracy, Human Dignity and the Nigerian State- Living Wage, Security And Accountability In The Public Interest”.
