Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, Peter Obi, has urged Nigerians to remain united and protect their votes ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking in Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Obi warned that Nigerians would resist any attempt to undermine a transparent electoral process and disenfranchise voters.
Peter Obi, while lamenting what he described as the worsening state of the country, said Nigeria had gone backwards under the present administration.
He said the country needs visionary leadership capable of addressing the challenges facing its citizens.
Obi, who was accompanied by NDC supporters, said the outcome of the 2027 election must reflect the will of the people as expressed at the ballot box.
He warned against any attempt to manipulate the electoral process to favour those in power.
With the 2027 general election approaching, attention will increasingly turn to voters, who will ultimately decide who governs Nigeria for the next four years.
