Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has urged the people of the State not to give up on President Bola Tinubu, but to support his bid for a second term in office.
Governor Yusuf made the call during the inauguration of the Tinubu Support Group for the North-West Geopolitical Zone, held at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
Governors and their representatives from the North-West geopolitical zone converged on Kano to inaugurate support groups for the 2027 re-election bid of President Bola Tinubu, where the host Governor, Abba Yusuf, expressed optimism that President’s second term would bring greater benefits to the country.
The Governor, therefore urged the people to continue supporting the current Tinubu-led Federal administration.
Governor Yusuf said there is a unanimous decision among stakeholders in the State’s chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to support President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He also called on eligible voters to collect their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, and vote for the party in the 2027 election.
The gathering also witnessed the defection of more than 130,000 new members to the APC from the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, and the National Democratic Congress, NDC.
