The Kaduna State Government has approved the implementation of the December 2025 Federal Government-ASUU agreement for the academic staff of Kaduna State University, KASU, effective October 2026.
Commissioner for Education, Professor Sani Bello, announced this in Kaduna.
According to the Commissioner for Education, Professor Sani Bello, the approval followed the recommendations of a nine-member government-ASUU negotiation committee.
He said the approved package includes revised salaries and other applicable allowances under the agreement.
Professor Bello said the decision reflects the government’s commitment to improving staff welfare and strengthening education and human capital development in the state.
The Vice-Chancellor of Kaduna State University, Professor Abdullahi Musa, commended Governor Uba Sani for addressing the welfare concerns of university staff.
Professor Musa said the university’s programmes are fully accredited by the National Universities Commission and relevant professional bodies, describing the government’s support as significant to the development of KASU.
