The Board and Management of DAAR Communications Plc have condoled the family of former Governor of the defunct Gongola State, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who passed away on Saturday and had since been laid to rest.
In a condolence letter signed by the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DAAR Communications, Dr. Marcel Anyalechi, FCA, the media organisation described the late Bamanga Tukur as an elder statesman who made significant contributions to the development of Nigeria.
The letter was presented to the deceased’s eldest son and Secretary to the Adamawa State Government, Awwal Tukur, by a delegation of AIT staff in Yola led by the Alhaji Bashir Abdullahi.
Receiving the condolence letter, Awwal Tukur expressed appreciation to the Board and Management of DAAR Communications for identifying with the family at a difficult moment.
He prayed for a more cordial relationship between the Tukur family and DAAR Communications, while thanking the organisation for its support and solidarity.
The late Bamanga Tukur, a former civilian governor of the defunct Gongola State, died on Saturday and was buried in Yola following funeral prayers at the Lamido Palace.
