The Kogi State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lawal Fagge, has confirmed that Six people have been killed, while two others sustained varying degrees of injuries in a road crash involving a truck and a commercial vehicle along the Kabba–Odo-Ape Road in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The FRSC Sector Commander attributed the accident to speeding, while warning motorists against reckless driving and unnecessary overtaking.
The FRSC is urging motorists to exercise caution and observe speed limits to prevent further loss of lives on the nation’s roads
Residents of Odo-Ape were said to have mobilised to rescue the survivors following the crash.
The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital in Kabba.
