The Nigerian Army says it will continue to strengthen military cooperation with other African countries through professional training and capacity building.
This was highlighted at a leadership and management seminar for participants of Course 48, 2026, at the Warrant Officers’ Academy in Jaji, Kaduna State.
The leadership and management seminar, themed “Adaptive Leadership and Management for 21st Century Military Operations,”forms part of the 22-week training course for warrant officers and senior non-commissioned officers of the Nigerian Army.
The programme focused on strengthening leadership and management competencies while improving coordination between commissioned officers and enlisted personnel.
Commandant of the Warrant Officers’ Academy, Brigadier General Anthony Wende, said the participation of a Liberian personnel underscores the Academy’s role in promoting professional military exchange and strengthening cooperation among African armed forces.
The Infantry Corps Commander, Major General Godwin Mutkut, described the Warrant Officers’ Academy as a key institution for developing leadership and management skills among warrant officers and strengthening the professional relationship between officers and soldiers.
He urged participants to draw from the experiences and expertise of serving and retired senior military officers who served as resource persons during the seminar.
The training is expected to enhance the leadership capacity of participants and expose them to contemporary approaches to military management.
It also provides an avenue for Nigerian and Liberian military personnel to share experiences, strengthen professional ties, and contribute to broader regional military cooperation.
