The Kwara State Joint Labour Congress comprising, the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Trade Union Congress, TUC, and other labour groups have shelved their planned statewide protest earlier scheduled for Thursday, following the suspension of the proposed fuel subsidy removal by the federal government.
The state Chairman of the joint union congress Issa Ore however disclosed that the unions will not hesitate to mobilise members, whenever government decides to apply its zero policy on subsidy without putting other critical factors into consideration.

Ore also commended union members, affiliated unions and Civil Society Organizations for their resilience in the struggle and fight to end all anti people policies of government.
