No fewer than three persons are reportedly missing following heavy flooding that affected parts of Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.
The incident is the aftermath of a heavy downpour that lasted for about three hours on Tuesday evening, causing flooding in several areas of the city.
Some residents of the affected areas told AIT online that their experiences are horrifying, and appealed to the State government to urgently intervene and provide a lasting solution to the recurring flooding incidents that have left many residents homeless.

The flood reportedly affected areas like Elemi, Afao and Ayemi bridges causing the collapse of the bridge linking the community with Ado-Ekiti, thereby cutting off vehicular movement and leaving residents struggling to access their homes.
So far, members of the NSCDC Disaster Management Team have been deployed to the affected areas to assess the situation and assist residents.
