Nigeria’s Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, has confirmed an accident involving a Bell 429 helicopter Marked 5N-MDA owned and operated by Nigerian Police Force,NPF at Bauchi Airport.
The AIB, in a statement by its General-Manager, Public affairs, Tunji Oketumbi said The accident occurred on Wednesday at 7:30pm after the helicopter had departed Abuja at 16:54 UTC for Bauchi with Six persons on board maintaining 5,500ft.
Some of the occupants were injured but no fatality was recorded.

The investigating agency, AIB-N urged members of the public to forward video clips, evidences and any useful information about the incidence to the Bureau to carry out proper investigation for formal report as privacy of such individual will be respected if so requested.
